School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Baldwinsville, New York New

Providing specialized nursing care for a non-verbal elementary student, this role requires a dedicated Registered Nurse skilled in school health services to support a 1:1 caseload in a K-12 setting. The position is based near Baldwinsville, NY, with an exact assignment in Moravia and surrounding areas. This contract runs through the 2025-2026 school year.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care and monitoring for a 1st-grade student requiring tracheostomy care and suctioning
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including feeding support
• Provide academic assistance and supervision during elective classes outside of special education
• Utilize clinical judgment to monitor student health and safety throughout the school day
• Ensure a duty-free lunch break, with a flexible leave time at 2:30 pm if all tasks are completed by then
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with experience in school nursing or pediatric care
• Proven ability to manage tracheostomy care and suctioning in a school setting
• Strong understanding of feeding assistance and ADLs in children
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred to support communication with the student and school community
• Comfortable working Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm schedule
